Talman was one of the pioneers of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in Australia.

We successfully tendered for the wool industry's first EDI network in 1982, and were the sole provider until 1990. Today we are again the sole provider of EDI services to the Australian Wool Exchange.

Currently Talman:

• EDI network worldwide - more than 500Mb of EDI data processed each month.
• Longest duration of service in Australia.
• Lowest costs among comparable EDI providers.
• Fastest dial-up data transfer of any EDI provider.
• High speed FTP version in service, up to 192 kbps.
• Internet (XML/EDI) BIZTALK version now in development.

Talman has worked closely with the WIEDPUG industry EDI committee since its inception, and been instrumental in the design and upgrading of all EDI formats used throughout the industry.
